This tablet was very quirky from out of the box.It needed updates but did not resolve all of the issues such as slow reconnectivity to wifi after being asleep, sometimes it takes forever to wake it up by pressing the power butting repeatedly 100 times over and over.Had a blue screen on this when I’ve never seen that before on windows 8, so its definitely a hardware issue.Its a so-so tablet which is why its budget priced.
Screen is excellent, battery life is very good, and its pretty fast.
***1 YEAR UPDATE***
1 month out of warranty to the day and the tablet failed.It will not boot, nor will the screen react.I contacted DELL and gave me the “Oh well, its out of warranty” response.I will NOT recommend this tablet.It was difficult to set up because it would not boot out of the box.After some simple tech support from Dell it worked very well.I upgraded to Windows 10 when it released, it sort of did that on its own but why resist? Software wouldn’t ruin it.It ran 10 like any other computer and it was doing fine.Then one night the screen froze.I did a hard reset and bam, dead.I tried all the trouble shooting methods detailed to me by Dell.
Do not waste your money on something that lasts until warranty.I will not send it back to them to fix. I won’t waste my money and I won’t allow them to refurbish it and resell it to another unsuspecting customer.It will be recycled where it belongs.

I was surprised with how well this tablet, with Windows 8.1, does it’s job. It is (for the most part) quick and easy to use. My only demerit is, with a keyboard and/or mouse, the cursor hangs a few seconds occasionally. Hopefully that will be correct in one of the updates.
I have used it as a tablet, and also as a small notebook with the Dell Tablet Keyboard and/or a bluetooth mouse.
The battery life seems to be about 10 hours (as advertised), so you can use it all day without having to recharge it (or carry the charger/power supply. I have really enjoyed it’s use.
At first I used a Dell Venture 8 Pro, but found it to be a little small to use with full blown Windows, so I went to the Venture 11 Pro and am very happy with it.

I wouldn’t recommend this tablet to anyone who does more than the most basic internet browsing. The Atom processor packs about as much of a punch as a damp firecracker, and the 2GB of RAM struggles with basic desktop programs like Skype, Google Chrome, and Dropbox. If you’re anywhere between an intermediate user and a power user, go for something with a bit more kick like the Surface Pro.
Wonderful tablet, if you want a tablet, notebook and camera all in one, this is the tablet for you. Downside is that it shuts off of when shaken too hard and sometimes freezes when pushed, like all Windows tablets. When you open the back the Solid State Disk can be replaced and it can also take a SIM card. I have ran Fight Simulator X in mid-low settings, and the adobe suite comfortably.
I purchased a used unit from warehouse deals for just a little above 300 bucks. I was willing to take the risk despite all those negative reviews, because of the full version windows. I have been using just for a couple of days, and found it very good so far. Everything is smooth and fast. Time will tell how it goes later, but for now I am quite satisfied…
Edit 1: After using for a few weeks, I have to admit that this product is awesome. It has become my all time companion. One suggestion, if you use the dell stylus, don’t use any screen protector…

When I received the tablet Windows had not been activated.I had to send it to Dell to have it activated.I was without the tablet for 1.5 weeks.After I got it back from Dell I noticed that the tablet was constantly freezing up.I heard from a friend that this is a known problem and Dell had not dealt with the issue yet.After I learned that, I returned the tablet.What a disappointment!
